The 27th edition the annual Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally will be held on July 9th and 10th. Like previous years, this two-wheeler event, sponsored by Gulf Oil Lubricants India and organized by Sportscraft will be run along the backwoods of Navi Mumbai.
The rally is open to all Indian-made scooters – two-stroke, four-stroke and gearless. The winners will receive trophies and over Rs. 75,000 in cash prizes. The different classes for competition consist of: above 80cc up to 110cc – two stroke; above 110cc up to 160cc – two stroke and up to 160 cc – four stroke. There will also be a Four Stroke general class.
Standard entries will be accepted till 30th June, 5 P.M. while late entries will be closed on 5th July, 1 P.M. Special prizes will be offered to riders from Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nashik, Bhopal, Kolhapur, Vidarbha, and Hyderabad. A maximum of 50 entries will be accepted on first come basis. The briefing for riders will be held on 9th July. It will be followed by a ceremonial star from Our Lady’s Home, 205, Ambedkar Road, Dadar, Mumbai.
The main event will be held on July 10th. The start and finish is at K-Star Hotel, Navi Mumbai. Entry forms are available and accepted only at the Sportscraft office, Chitrakut, 3rd Floor, Siri Road, Chowpatty Bandstand, Mumbai.
