Being a cosmetic upgrade only, the car will come with the same engines and transmission. The engine line up includes:

  • 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine developing 75 bhp and 197 Nm
  • 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine developing 90 bhp and 209 Nm
  • 1.2 liter petrol engine developing 68 bhp and 96 Nm
  • 1.4 liter petrol engine developing 90 bhp and 115 Nm

All the above engines will come mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.

Fiat sales in India suffered mainly due to the minimal service network. With the end of the Fiat-Tata venture of sales and service, Fiat is now improving the dealer and service network by setting up more independent dealerships. With a good service network, we can expect the new Punto to perform better than its predecessor.
