What can be better than riding to a rustic locale on your beloved two-wheeled possession with likeminded people? Downshift Group, with Motoroids as its online partner is organizing an overnight event in the bucolic environs of Lonavala, the Pavana Lake to be specific. This is the second edition of the event, named Bikers Nightout and is scheduled for November 29 and 30, 2014. Bikers Nightout is a themed Biker’s Party for this year’s iteration.

Bikers Nightout is more than just a riding event. The event has been formulated for bikers of all levels and genres who come together to interact with each other, ride, engage in activities and have a good time together. The concept was put to test in the pilot event which took place at Big Red Tent’s Karnala property in May, earlier this year.
The first event witnessed participation from almost 20 bikers from Mumbai and Pune. The list of motorcycles ranged from Bajaj Pulsar, KTM Duke and Yamaha R15 to the bigger guns like the Suzuki Hayabusa and Intruder. The event was participated in by individual bikers and by motorcycling clubs. The list of motorcycling clubs included Bike Riders Pune, Piston Brothers and Brown Spark Biking Club from Mumbai.
During the first event, the camp site was revamped with tents arranged in such a way that the Biker’s could park their bikes right in front of their eyes. The look and feel of the campsite was given a biker’s touch with vintage biking posters, lanterns covered and decorated with bike headlamps and similar stuff. Even the forks and spoons were designed to integrate with clutch and brake levers to give a hardcore bikers feel.
Group activities were organised which helped people interact with each other. Events such as treasure hunt, slow race, straw the bottle, bucket toss, ball toss were included in the group activities. A barbecue was set after the group events were concluded. Along with the barbecue was a jamming session where the participants themselves took to the guitar and played familiar tunes.

Due to a well received response to the event, the Bikers Nightout has been organised again on 29th and 30th November. This time, the event will take place on the banks of Pavna Lake in Lonavala, Maharashtra. The location has been provided by “TentsOnRent”. The second Biker Nightout event is limited to 40 bikers. The registration fee for the event is Rs 2,000 which includes tents, dinner, barbecue, the ‘Bikers Nightout’ events, breakfast, band performance and much more. Since there is a limit on registrations, the same will be done on 1st come 1st serve basis.
