Here’s a Dagger to kill the Veyron, and by the look of it, it looks really lethal. The Dagger GT is preparing to lay claim on being the world’s fastest, most extreme production car. With a power output of more than 2000 horses and a peak torque output of2700Nm, the Dagger GT is all set to write a new chapter in performance. And the good thing is, that its makers, TranStar Racing, LLC are claiming that this hypercar is not going be fast just in a straight line like the Bugatti. They claim that it’s going to create unprecedented records around the race tracks as well, AND will create a new record around the Nurburgring as well. Now that’s a lot of claim to make.

Only five such cars will be made in 2011, so super-exclusivity is guaranteed. The car will do a 0-100km/h sprint in 1.5 seconds will will dispose the quarter mile run in less than 7 seconds with an exit speed of more than 360km/h. Now that acceleration is good enough to not just push your eyes into your guts, but also to make them pop out of your behind.

Each of these cars will be carefully hand built and with customizations to suit the taste of the owner. The customers of this incredibly fast car will have three models to choose from – a street-legal comfortable-riding sport model, or a soft-riding, luxurious GT-X model that looks and feels like a million-dollar car, but runs like a bat-out-of-hell. The base price of each such car (Sport model) will be $4,50,000 (close to Rs 2 crore). Now that’s not too much money to ask for if this company can deliver what its claiming.
