Earlier this year, BMW Motorrad, the motorcycle division of BMW, had introduced the 2012 F650GS in Indian and now, the bike maker will be soon seen introducing the 2013 F700GS, a replacement model for the F650GS, in our market. The dual purpose on-off road motorcycle will come to us via CBU route and is expected to cost about INR 10 lakhs. The F700GS borrows the 798cc parallel twin four stroke powerplant from the F650GS and the motor gives a power-torque output of 75Bhp- 76 Nm. The 2012 F700GS features a six speed manual gearbox that transmits power through a chain drive.
The bike gets telescopic shocks at front and a mono at rear. In typical on-off road bike fashion, this Beamer gets a 19” front wheel and a 17” rear. As with the new line up of BMW bikes, the F700GS gets ABS as standard feature. Now that the F700GS is almost here, we wonder if the F800GS is far behind.
