Kawasaki Ninja 650’s dominance in the middle-weight tourer segment is about to get challenged by new competitors. While the Benelli TNT 600 GT is already here, the Honda CBR650F will soon be making way to Indian shores making the competition stiffer. But which motorcycle will outrun the others, on paper?

The Honda CBR650F stands out as the most powerful motorcycle with its 649cc in-line four cylinder motor that delivers 87 PS of power at 11,000 RPM. The Benelli TNT 600 GT finishes a close second with its 600cc inline four cylinder motor churning out 85 PS of power at 11,500 RPM. The Kawasaki Ninja 650, with its 649cc twin-cylinder motor puts out 72 PS of power at 8,500 RPM.
The Ninja 650, however, packs in highest amount of torque at 64Nm. The Honda CBR650F, which has the highest power output in this comparison, delivers 63Nm of torque. The Benelli TNT 600 GT finishes third with a relatively lower 54.6Nm of torque. The Honda CBR650F is the lightest vehicle while the Kwacker tips the weighing scale at 211 kilograms. The Benelli TNT 600 GT has the heaviest motorcycle 243 kilograms.
Although the Honda CBR650F is yet to arrive on Indian shores, the prices are expected to hover around the Rs 8 lakh mark which will make a relatively expensive that the other two motorcycles in this comparison. The Benelli TNT 600 GT, at Rs 5.60 lakh is slightly more expensive than the Rs 5.30 lakh worth Kawasaki Ninja 650. But the Benelli offers an inline four cylinder motor that will definitely be worth the extra buck.

Umm, the specs are a bit off. The CBR650F has a torque rating of 62.4 and on the dyno the gap between the Ninja’s and the CBR’s torque figures are even more close which is what matters since the figures are off the rear wheel and not the crank. The Ninja 650 has a kerb weight of 211 kilos as mentioned on the probiking website and other international magazines. So the point of it being the lightest is moot.
