Bajaj hikes prices. Effective from 2011.

With the inflation bug biting every car manufacturer in the new year, Motorcycle buyers are also bound to suffer. First it was Hero Honda and now, according to Motorbeam, Bajaj models be a little more expensive to buy. The new prices, i.e with upto a Rs.1,000 hike over the current price, will be effective from 1^st of January,2011.

The company’s President for the 2-wheeler division, S Sridhar said,”The continued rising cost of raw material inputs is the main cause for this increase. Despite the hike, our models continue to offer superior value compared to competition, and hence we do not expect this price rise to affect sales.”
