Teaser

Triumph had recently released a teaser on its social media calling it a Landmark moment in motorcycle. In the teaser we can see Triumph’s history and different Triumph models. Design, craftsmanship and precision is all done to achieve that perfect ride.

Bajaj and Triumph

Similar to the Bajaj and KTM collaboration. Bajaj and Triumph collaboration to work in the same manner Bajaj will focus on the manufacturing while Triumph will take care of the design and powertrain of this upcoming new bike. We expect to see a new engine designed by Triumph. It is anticipated that this new engine will be 300-400cc DOHC unit with features like VVA tech, Liquid cooling Etc. Nevertheless we will get a clear picture on its powertrain tomorrow when It’s unveiled.

However, some parts will be shared with a few outgoing Bajaj models, to keep the costs in check. Triumph in India is well regarded and loved by the motorcycle community especially the Bonneville and the Scrambler. Additionally the new model will draw inspiration from these exceptionally well received bikes. However Triumph badge comes with a responsibility of quality and refinement from the engine to the dealer and the service experience. Whereas Bajaj brand is not the last word in quality, performance and refinement. They have delivered these things in the past individually but not together in the same product. Collaboration if done well can iron these intricacies out.

Pricing and Competition

The Triumph-Bajaj Roadster is anticipated to have an approximate price of Rs 2.5 lakh, positioning it as a competitor to the Honda CB300R, the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 450, and the Harley-Davidson 440X. On the other hand, the Scrambler is projected to be priced around 2.75 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom) and will rival the Royal Enfield Scram 411, Yezdi Scrambler, Zontes GK 350, and Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.
