Arun Malhotra has been formally appointed as the managing director at Nissan Motor India and will be heading their sales and marketing headquarters in Mumbai. Malhotra is to directly report to Guillaume Sicard, president of Nissan India Operations. His primary role is to assist the company develop optimal business strategies to help maximise their overall performance whilst managing product introduction and increasing accessibility and presence of Nissan and Datsun in India through continual network expansion.
Malhotra has a BE in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata. Guillaume Sicard, president – Nissan India Operations said, “Arun Malhotra has a consistent record of high performance and extensive experience in automotive sales, service, and marketing in India. I am happy to have a seasoned leader like him join us to accelerate Nissan’s progress in a dynamic market like India.”
Earlier, Malhotra was the chief of international sales and marketing for the automotive and farm sector of Mahindra & Mahindra and has over 30 years of rugged experience under his belt. He has accumulated a bullet-proof track record in sales, service, network expansion and development, brand building and customer-centric initiatives with companies like Bajaj Auto, and Maruti Suzuki. Nissan Motor India is definitely under safe hands now and this promises a stable future for the manufacturer.
