2012 Geneva Motor Show: Volkswagen Unveils Golf GTi Cabriolet

Volkswagen unveiled the new 2013 Golf Cabriolet GTI at the Geneva Motor Show that commenced yesterday. Powered by the 2.0 liter turbocharged, direct-injected 4-cylinder engine that the cabriolet shares with the GTI hatchback, the car has 207 horses to play with. The motor is mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic and the manufacturer claims a quick 7.3 second 0 to 62 mph run. The top whack is being said to be 147 mph.The drop top takes about 19 seconds to go up and 10 to drop down. The car will go on sale in Europe later this year with no plans for either American or Asian markets.
