BMW M5

BMW decides to let performance enthusiasts of our country rejoice. Along with the popular M3 Coupe & Convertible sports cars and the aggressive X6 M we now have the M5 sedan on sale in India. The M5 is based on the 5 series of the luxury car manufacturer. M5 surely seems to be a BMW 5 series sedan on steroids. What with the M5 borrowing the design from the 5 series sedan albeit also throwing in some skirtings, chrome tipped exhaust pipes and M badges to the basic design form. This ‘sleeper’ car comes with a 4395 cc V8 engine with the cylinders placed at an angle of 90 degrees to each other. The motor has 4 valves per cylinder configuration and produces 560 horses and the car has a limited top speed of 25o kmph. This sedan can ferry your kids to the school and mess with those 2 seater sportscars on the way back home. The M5 carries a price tag of Rs.95,90,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
