Carl Fredricksen, a 78-year-old balloon salesman from the movie UP!, had to get his house airborne when he decided to fulfil his dream to see the wilds of South America and take his home at the Paradise Falls. Well, things are relatively easy for you if you wished to go for an expedition with your house in tow. How? They say “Home is where the heart is”. True. But the team at Tiny Heirloom has mended the statement, quite literally, when they say, “Home is where you park it.”
Based out of Oregon City, Tiny Heirloom is a luxury, custom tiny home manufacturer that creates on the go lodging places that you can carry around to various locations. And it’s not your everyday caravan with just a roof over your head. It’s a fully done-up home with all the required amenities. Currently, all custom homes from Tiny Heirloom come standard with in-house speakers, all LED lighting and basic solar or wind power package. Tiny Heirloom also plans to introduce Home Automation Systems through which owners would benefit from hands free lighting, voice activated door locks, automated thermostats, auto-leveling jacks, tank level indication and propane level readings and bluetooth surround sound.
But good things come at a price. So you really need to have deep pockets to buy one as the base model is priced at USD 65,000. But considering the fact that you can have a home at your favourite destination, that’s a price that many would be willing to pay!
