Honda Cars India (HCIL) registered monthly Domestic Sales of 13,941 units and Exports of 664 units in August 2016. The company sold 15,655 units in the domestic market during the corresponding month last year.
Speaking on the company’s performance, Yoichiro Ueno, President and CEO, Honda Cars India, said that they have been continuing their sales efforts to streamline their stock levels at the dealerships and are geared up for the festive season starting from this month in some parts of the country. They are witnessing good demand for models and expect good sales on account of the favourable monsoon and the upcoming festive season.
Following is the model-wise break-up of sales for August 2016 is as follows:
Honda Brio: 784 units
Honda Jazz: 3818 units
Honda Amaze: 2488 units
Honda City: 4255 units
Honda Mobilio: 290 units
Honda BR-V: 2229 units
Honda CR-V: 77 units
Domestic Total: 13,941 units
Exports: 664 units
Grand Total: 14,605 units
