When it comes to delivering a masterpiece, not many can do a job as good as the Italians can! The aforementioned statement was once again proven right as three Ferraris won the prestigious Red Dot Award, the world’s leading product design competition. The Red Dot Awards celebrated its 60th anniversary this year (2015). The recent FXX-K has been named Red Dot Best of the Best for the top design quality and ground-breaking design. The California T and LaFerrari were singled out by the international jury for Red Dot Awards for the high quality of their design.
The Ferrari FXX-K receives a 6.3-litre V12 engine that pumps out a FXX-K-ing crazy 1035 HP of power! The LaFerrari, on the other hand, receives a 950 hp engine that propels this supercar from a standstill to 100 kph in less than three seconds while the 200 kph mark is reached in less than 7 seconds. The 300 kph mark is reached in mere 15 seconds. The California T receives a 3.8-litre turbocharged V8 engine that develops 560 PS of power and 755 Nm of torque.
Approximately 5,000 innovative entries from 56 nations were in the competition. The work of the Ferrari Style Centre headed by Flavio Manzoni was selected by an international jury made up of respected designers, design professors and specialist journalists from 25 countries. The awards ceremony takes place in Essen, Germany, on June 29 next.
