Stealth 2 of Chitkara Institute of Engineering and Technology have associated with Autodesk, their Chief Design Partner for their vehicle Stealth. Autodesk is organizing a Press Release for the vehicle Stealth in Chandigarh on 22 June 2010. Motoroids is the official web partner for this team.
Autodesk provided the software (Autodesk Inventor) to the institute and access to expert training (Inventor Mentorship) for the team in the development of their car. The car Stealth is participating in Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2010 scheduled to be held from 08 July 2010 to 10 July 2010 at Sepang International Circuit, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The team is confident this time to break their previous recorded mileage of 163kmpl achieved at Auto Club Speedway, Fontana, California last year at Shell Eco-marathon Americas 2009 under name Team Stealth. According to the team, through digital prototyping in Autodesk Inventor, they created, optimized and validated the design of the car on a digital model which could simulate real-world performance. This speeded up the design process and reduces costs as there was less reliance on costly physical prototypes.
