India’s EV Space Heats Up With 3 Major Launches This June
If you’ve been thinking of making the switch to electric, June 2025 might just be the perfect time. From a rugged off-roader to a sleek roadster and a luxury MPV, three highly anticipated EVs are set to make their Indian debut this month — and each one brings its own personality to the plug-in game.
Leading the charge is none other than Tata’s Harrier EV, a bold step forward for one of India’s most popular SUVs. Joining it will be MG’s showstopping Cyberster, a two-door electric convertible that’s all about drama and driving pleasure, and the premium MG M9 MPV, built for those who like to be driven in supreme comfort.
Tata Harrier EV – Launching tomorrow
Tata Motors is all set to lift the curtain on its most advanced electric SUV yet — the Harrier EV — tomorrow at 2 PM. First teased as a concept and recently shown in full production form at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the Harrier EV is no longer a dream. It’s ready for Indian roads.
This electric SUV is built on Tata’s new Gen 2 EV platform, which is a reworked version of the OMEGA Arc architecture. What makes it especially interesting is the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup, which enables it to tackle tricky terrain with ease. Rock, Snow, and Sand driving modes add to its versatility, and the teaser videos even hint at features like Boost Mode, Transparent Mode, and Off-Road Cruise Assist.
Under the skin, the Harrier EV is expected to offer two battery options, with the bigger one likely being around 75 kWh. Tata claims it’ll deliver over 600 km of range — easily one of the highest among Indian EVs. It also supports DC fast charging, along with V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) and V2L (vehicle-to-load) functions for added practicality.
Inside, the layout will look familiar to ICE Harrier owners but with a twist — a large 12.3-inch touchscreen, EV-specific digital display, and a more futuristic software interface. It’s electric, but it’s still very much a Harrier at heart.

MG Cyberster – Electrifying Performance in a Roadster Avatar
If you thought EVs couldn’t be fun, the MG Cyberster is here to change your mind. This bold, all-electric roadster channels MG’s sporty roots — remember the MG B Roadster? — and brings it into the modern era with scissor doors, futuristic styling, and serious performance.
The Cyberster will be the first MG model sold through the brand’s new MG Select premium showrooms, and rightly so — it’s not just another EV. With a 77 kWh battery, it delivers 505 bhp, 725 Nm of torque, and hits 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. That’s supercar territory.
It’s also thoughtfully engineered, with 50:50 weight distribution, a five-link rear suspension, and aerodynamic enhancements like the Kammback rear. Deliveries start from August 2025, and pre-bookings are already open.

MG M9 – India’s First All-Electric Presidential MPV
MG’s second big reveal this month is the M9 electric MPV, and it’s all about first-class luxury. This isn’t just another people mover — the M9 is aimed at those who expect limousine-like comfort, but want it in an electric format.
This massive three-row MPV packs a 90 kWh battery offering up to 430 km of range, and powers the front wheels with 238 bhp and 350 Nm. More importantly, it supports 120 kW DC fast charging, getting from 30 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
But it’s what’s inside that really impresses — reclining ottoman seats in the second row with 16-way adjustment, massage, heating, and ventilation, a touchscreen control panel, dual panoramic sunroofs, and 64-color ambient lighting. Think of it as a rolling five-star suite. Pre-bookings have begun with a ₹51,000 deposit.

Final Thoughts: The EV Wave Gets Real This June
For anyone following India’s EV journey, June 2025 marks a turning point. We’re not just getting more electric cars — we’re getting better ones. Whether you’re an SUV lover, a performance junkie, or someone who values comfort above all else, there’s something worth waiting for.
The Tata Harrier EV offers adventure with zero emissions. The MG Cyberster brings back the joy of driving — this time, silently. And the MG M9 redefines backseat luxury for the electric age.
With this trio, India’s EV scene just got a whole lot more exciting.
