After a massive success in the Indian market, Skoda Auto India has once again opened the bookings for its flagship SUV Kodiaq. The SUV had previously achieved a feat by being sold out within 24 hours of its launch. Bookings for Q1 2023 are now open, while the deliveries will begin in the first quarter of 2023 itself. Along with this, Skoda has also hiked the prices for the Kodiaq.

Customers can book their Kodiaq with a token amount of ₹50,000. The 2023 Skoda Kodiaq comes with a price tag of ₹37.5 lakh for the Style variant, ₹38.49 lakh for the Sportline variant, and ₹39.9 lakh for the Laurin & Klement (L&K) variant. The car was initially launched at a starting price of ₹34.99 lakh (ex. showroom). This new price of Kodiaq makes it around ₹2.5 Lakh more expensive.

Launched in January 2022, the Kodiaq facelift comes with Skoda’s Crystalline LEDs and dynamic turn indicators. The wheels are 18-inch alloys and with each variant getting a unique design. The L&K variant comes equipped with Skoda’s Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) which enables the driver to select between Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sports, Snow, and Individual driving modes. The L&K variant also comes with a CANTON 12-speaker sound system, hands-free parking, a panoramic sunroof, and features like blind, blankets, nap rests, and an umbrella holder.

The power of Kodiaq comes from the same 2.0 L TSI engine which is capable of producing 190 ps of power and 320 nm of peak torque. The powerful engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The SUV can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. The 2023 Kodiaq may feature some minor updates as with all Skoda cars which get a minor feature revision every year.

Zac Hollis, brand director, Skoda India, commented, “I can’t say how many we have planned, but I can assure you and everyone that it is a good number of units and we will be able to satisfy the demand. While we are opening bookings for deliveries in the first quarter of 2023, we already have a plan in place for the rest of the year and will take orders quarter-wise.”
