The Ferrari GTC4Lusso has made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The GTC4Lusso is a new four-seater Prancing Horse with rear-wheel steering coupled with four-wheel drive. This marks a landmark technological advance for the sporty Grand Tourer. The GT4Lusso is Ferrari’s newest conception of a four-seater with exhilarating performance with comfort and space for four, and not just two occupants.
The all new GT is powered by a 6.3 liter (6,262cc) V12 with 690 hp of power dished out at 8,000 rpm and 697 Nm of torque produced at 5,750 rpm, 80% of which is available at just 1,750 rpm. Top speed is rated at a crazy 335 km/h and 0 to 100 km/h is taken care of in 3.4 seconds. The car’s 13.5:1 compression ratio and 2.6 kg/hp weight-to-power-ratio also manage to set new records for the category.
The highlight of the new GT is its grip, and adaptability to a variety of driving conditions. Equipped with the latest, fourth generation Side Slip Control, the car gets 4RM 4WD, rear-wheel steering, an electronic diff and SCM-E active damping.
The GTC4Lusso, designed by Ferrari Design, is a distilled version of the shooting brake coupé – more streamlined, tapered and sportier. All of that sharpness is achieved while also allowing for large comfortable rear seats and a roomy boot.
Inside the cabin, the new Dual Cockpit architecture promotes a shared driving experience for both driver and passenger. Ferrari have tried to create the same, involving experience for all four occupants with the wraparound seats and meticulously chosen and crafted quality materials. The materials were carefully chosen to reduce weight, while also enhancing a sense of sporty luxury. The navigation and infotainment system features a 10.25” HD screen and is a new unit.
The GTC4Lusso has been presented in two avatars at the Geneva Show. The first is finished in a Bianco Italia livery with a Blu Sterling interior, a Low-e panoramic roof to keep the cabin temperature constant even on the sunniest of days, and diamond-finish forged wheels. The second car gets a Grigio Ferro Met bodywork with a Cognac semi-aniline leather cabin. Both cars feature the new 8.8” touchscreen passenger display as well as Apple CarPlay and an upgraded audio system.
