Volkswagen India has been coming up with new strategies of late to promote its Vento C segment sedan. After offering really attractive finance and buy-back schemes, the Indian subsidiary of Volkswagen has now launched a special edition of the Vento. Dubbed as the Vento Style, the new variant comes with ‘Signature Chrome Package’ styling kit. This kit includes chrome badges on the dashboard, chrome plated front grille, other chrome bits for the exterior, new design alloy wheels, dual tone seat covers and chrome doorstep garnish.
It is no secret that Indian car buying lot has great affinity for chrome and the latest limited edition model of the Vento might get quite a few takers. The Vento Style can be bought in any of the two engine variants. This means that the Vento can be bought with either the 1.6 litre TDI oil burner or the 1.6 litres MPi petrol motor. Both the engines come mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. The diesel engine has a max power output of 105 bhp and a peak torque figure of 250 Nm. The petrol engine too has a max power output of 105 bhp and has a lower peak torque figure of 153 Nm. The diesel variant of the Vento Style has a sticker price of INR 9.41 lakhs. The petrol variant has been priced at INR 8.33 lakhs. (All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
We have always found the Volkswagen Vento to be a well sorted out car and the recent launch of the limited edition model should make the car even more appealing to the prospective car buyers in the upper C segment of our car market.
