Volkswagen recently updated the Polo hatchback in the Indian market. It’s bigger sibling Vento has also undergone minor refreshes from the time of its Indian debut. Now, the 2016 Volkswagen Vento has been caught undisguised on Pune roads.
Although not much visual changes are visible in these spy images, the 2016 Vento will be in the Indian showrooms by the mid of this year with the following changes:
- New Headlamp
- New Grille
- New Front Bumper
- New Rear Bumper
- New Tail Lights
- New Alloy Wheels
- New Horizontal Strip on Boot Lid
As far as the interior is concerned, we can expect Volkswagen to bestow the 2016 Vento with a new dashboard, steering wheel and some minor changes to the upholstery. The car will also come nicely equipped with some new features too.
The 2016 VW Vento will continue to be powered by the same engine options from the current model :
- Diesel: 1.5 Liter TDI mill churning out 105 PS and 250 Nm (mated to a 5-speed manual or 6-speed DSG)
- Petrol 1.2 Liter TSI motor cranking out 105 PS and 175 Nm (mated to a 7-speed DSG)
- Petrol 1.6 MPI (NA Petrol) engine with 105 PS and 153 N-m (5-speed manual)

There is a volkswagen Jetta pictures beside the vento in this picture as well, upon looking closely I think the headlamps and the lower part of the front bumper differ from the Jetta being sold in India now. I think this is the face lifted model as well which was unveiled a few weeks ago internationally. Any details on whether it is the newer model??
