Two-wheeler sales September 2016 : India Yamaha Motor sales take huge leap, crosses 1 lakh mark

India Yamaha Motor announced a major milestone by selling more than one lakh units in September 2016. The Company also registered a growth of 33% in domestic (including Nepal) sales in September 2016 as compared to the corresponding period last year. This jump in the sales figure is attributed to Yamaha’s innovative ongoing customer-centric activities and exciting product line-up.

The company sold 89,423 units in September 2016 as against 67,267 units sold in the corresponding period last year in the domestic market (including Nepal), which amounts to 33% in sales growth. Exports stood at 11730 units (excluding Nepal) in September 2016. It is noteworthy here that Yamaha recently launched the new color variants of Saluto (125 CC), disc brake variant of the Cygnus Alpha scooter and the new Cygnus Ray-ZR which were instrumental in boosting its sales. It has been Yamaha’s constant focus to introduce innovative products that encourages a strong customer connect.

Commenting on Company’s record growth, Roy Kurian, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales said that September has been a historic month for Yamaha. The total number of sales in the market reached an all-time high, which is a direct reflection of constant faith of customers along with the immeasurable passion shown by the network partners. Yamaha’s all round initiatives – sales, service, spare parts, network expansion and customer satisfaction – with exciting product line up and strategic customer engagement programs were also the key growth driver for Yamaha.
