By definition, a fractal is a never-ending pattern, which, bound by repetitive iterations can create dynamic shapes/systems. We’ll take a wild guess and say that the fractal in these pictures has to do with triangles in its core. There are triangles everywhere in this design, and the “dynamic shape” is the Peugeot Fractal Concept. Little is known about this upcoming, distinctively French concept car, and we’ll wait for the finer details to come by when it is officially revealed in a couple of days.

In car-speak, the Fractal can be defined as a compact roadster; but not in its entirety. Doing justice to a roadster, it has a removable hardtop, but with the top in place, it takes the shape of a two-door hatchback; replete with roof-mounted buttresses – one can’t characterise its type; it’s in a world of its own. However, that doesn’t stop it from looking hot. A potpourri of jagged lines creating an overall harmony, the Fractal features a style influenced by the Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo virtual concept.

The interiors reveal a minimalist approach to motoring; with a futuristic, mildly rectangular shaped steering wheel, a center console supported on a panel that’s oriented the wrong way (in the traditional sense) and rotary knobs which spring out from the between the space-age seats like microphones. The rest of the dashboard is elegantly treated, with the lower half trimmed with a gold finished, wavy textured insert. The grippy carpeting is done up in white; and being a concept vehicle, it doesn’t have to worry one bit about grubby shoes. A fully digital instrument panel and a tablet between the seats are the only digital windows inside.
