Remember we recently posted the official teaser video of the new 2014 Mercedes S63 AMG? The German premium car maker has today revealed the details of the new 2014 S63 AMG and we finally have got to know the details of one of the most performance oriented limos of the recent times.
As we have been telling our reader, the new S63 is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 Biturbo engine that can also be found under the hood of 2014 E63 AMG. The motor has a max power output of 585bhp and a gut wrenching torque of 900Nm from as low as 2250 RPM.
The S63 AMG goes on sale in three variants- short wheelbase version, long wheelbase and long wheelbase with 4MATIC four wheel drive system.
The 4MATIC equipped S63 is capable of dismissing the 100kmph figure from standstill in a supercar rivalling 4.0 seconds. The 2WD variants can hit 100kmph in an equally commendable 4.4 seconds. The car gets an electronically limited top whack of 250kmph. The motor comes mated to an AMG 7-speed SPEEDSHIFT gearbox and offers the driver with three transmission modes- sports, comfort and efficiency.
Mercedes claims that the car consumes 10.1 liters of gasoline for travelling 100kms. The car has CO2 emission figure of 242g for 4Matic and 237g/km for 2WD variants.
The S63 AMG goes on sale for a price of 149,880 euros (approx INR 1.17 crores), with the prices climbing up to 152,617 euros (approx INR 1.19 crores) for the fully loaded model.
The new 2014 Mercedes S63 AMG will make its public debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
