That the Kawasaki Ninja 300 India launch will soon happen is a well known fact. Enough has already been speculated about the upcoming bike and we recently reported in detail when some of the Bajaj-Kawasaki dealers opened the ‘unofficial bookings’ of the soon-to-be-launched bike.

The bookings for the upcoming Kawasaki Ninja 300 have now officially commenced in India and all the Bajaj Kawasaki showrooms are accepting bookings of the Ninja 300. The booking amount for the bike is INR 40,000 and deliveries would start within 3 weeks.

India will get the non-ABS version and the new bike will have an ex-showroom price of around INR 3.8 lakhs.  The bike will go on sale in two colours- white and Ninja green.

The Ninja 300 will most likely replace the 250R and will have a considerable power advantage over the 250cc variant. The new bike has a slipper clutch and will become the first low capacity sportsbike in India to have this arrangement. Visually, the Ninja 300 is identical to the new 2013 Ninja 250R. The new Ninja 300 develops a max power figure of 38.45 bhp @ 11,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 27 Nm @ 10,000 rpm. Kawasaki claims that the new bike has been endowed with sufficient low end torque for comfortable city riding.

Safely expect the new bike to open gates to an all new segment of Indian performance bike market and satisfy the hunger of all those Indian bike aficionados who have been wishing more from entry level 250cc sportsbikes.

  1. India is a very price sensitive market so I really doubt this bike would be accepted well in India at this price point. I think this bike would have done really good with pricing somewhere near 3 Lakh. Wonder whether Bajaj advises Kawasaki on product pricing! Two thinks we Indians can never accept, when it comes to vehicles – Bad fuel efficiency and poor pricing

    Please edit your article. There is no bike called Ninja250R 2013. You can refer to the Kawasaki international site.

    Ninja250R2012 is the last and is dead. It will however be sold in some markets in the globe keeping its iconic status till its totally phased off.
