India Yamaha Motor wins Yamaha World Technician Grand Prix 2016 Title for the second time

India Yamaha Motor has won the No. 1 Technician Title in the Commuter Model Class at the 7th World Technician Grand Prix 2016 (WTGP) that was held recently in Japan.

World Technician Grand Prix championship, which happens once in two years, gives the winners of National Technician Grand Prix a chance to compete for the prestigious title of No.1 Technician in the world. The best technicians from 21 countries who had won their national level qualifying contests (NTGP) gathered in Japan for the 7th Yamaha World Technician Grand Prix 2016. Two technicians from India participated in this event. It is the third time when India has participated in WTGP since 2012.

Yamaha felicitated Jignesh Rana from Planet Automobile, the brand’s Ahmedabad dealership as he represented India Yamaha Motor in the world championship. In 2014, India Yamaha Motor won No. 1 position represented by technician Meenakshi Sundaram from Madurai. WTGP calibrates dealers to achieve higher levels of customer satisfaction that translates into customer delight. India Yamaha Motor has also won this prestigious WTGP title during 6th WTGP contest held at Japan on October 1, 2014.

The 7th Yamaha WTGP witnessed participation from Yamaha YTA Technicians who provide ‘One-to-one’ services to customers on a daily basis. The contest also included the advanced trouble shooting and communication with customers using Yamaha diagnostic tools in order to create confidence among the customers.
