Bajaj V15 reaches dealerships (3)

A report by MotorOctane suggests that the Bajaj V15 has started reaching dealerships across the country, indicating an imminent launch; most likely in March. The report further adds that the Bajaj V15 will be priced at INR 72,000 (on-road, Mumbai), while ex-showroom prices are said to hover around the INR 65,000 mark. The Bajaj V15 was unveiled earlier this month, ahead of the 2016 Auto Expo, with an USP that it had been crafted out of metal from the decommissioned and dismantled INS Vikrant, the Indian Navy’s first aircraft carrier.

The premium commuter is powered by a Bajaj’s single-cylinder, 150cc, DTS-i engine that delivers maximum torque of 13 Nm at 5500 RPM, and a peak power of 12 PS at 7500 rpm. Other highlights include a trapezoidal headlamp rated at 55/60W, 33 mm diameter front fork and rear shock absorbers – the largest in its class, a removable rear seat cowl, an instrument cluster with a dual colour LED fuel level indicator, a LED tail lamp, aluminium die-cast wheels with a double spoke design, a 240 mm front disc brake and a 120 section rear tire.
