Replacing the current-gen Ford Endeavour in India that still rides on leaf springs, the next generation SUV is about to be launched here sometime this year. Before that, it will be launched in Thailand as the Ford Everest, from where it will be imported into India via the CKD route. Equipped with a Watts Link rear suspension supported by coil springs, the 2015 Ford Endeavour will directly compete against the upcoming Chevy Trailblazer, Hyundai Santa Fe, Ssangyong Rexton and the Toyota Fortuner, an SUV which has been massaging a lot of butch egos across the nation. To be launched with a choice of two diesel engines and an auto only option in Thailand, we aren’t sure if both engines or just one of them with a choice of manual transmission will make it to our shores.
