Toyota has kicked off a brand new video campaign for its Yaris sedan. The story is woven around a bunch of friends who are out for a longish drive. The brief, from what we can see in the video, is to highlight the space, utility features, comfort and the reasonably good handling capabilities of the car.
The bloke at the wheel, who is a careful driver to put it mildly, becomes a target of jokes from all his friends for his slow driving. In the meanwhile, the campaign highlights the space and comfort within the car by showcasing the power outlet used to make tea, a wide backseat spacious to allow the back benchers to play games and so on. All this while the non-driving trio is making fun of the driver, who is over cautious while driving on public roads.
Tables turn, however, as the driver hits a secluded patch with cones to do a slalom run unleashing anarchy inside the cabin. This part of the video is aimed at highlighting the handling prowess of the car. Eventually, the driver walks away, asking his friends to ‘feel at home’ – once again underlining the spacious innards of the car.
