As reported earlier, Triumph Motorcycles has officially made an entry to the Indian market. Having brought as many as 10 models to the Indian market, the motorcycle maker plans to slice out a big chunk of the premium motorcycle segment for itself. Within its crosshairs are other similar motorcycle makers such as Harley Davidson and Kawasaki.
The pricing of the motorcycles, however has been a tad disappointing. Everyone was expecting aggressive pricing for its models from the British bike maker, especially the Daytona, with which Triumph could very well brought the supersports segment alive. At INR 11.4 lakh, its decidedly expensive for the Indian market. Starting at Rs 5.7 lakh for the Bonneville and going all the way up to Rs 20 lakh for the gargantuan Rocket III, Triumph’s product spread is indeed extremely varied. The pricing, however, is accessible only for the elite.
