The New Scorpio N Variants Are Announced

The recently launched big daddy of SUV, Scorpio N has taken over the automobile industry with its brand new features and new design. The variants of Scorpio N are supposed to be launched on 21st July. But Mahindra has already announced the variant and colour options for this beast. As per the company report, the 4-wheel drive option has not made its place in the automatic petrol variant. But, on a positive note, Just like a manual transmission, The automatic transmission will be available in both petrol and diesel engines of both 6 and 7-seat configurations.

The petrol variant will have Z4, Z8, and Z8 L trims. Z4 and Z8 trims will offer 7 seats, while a premium 6-seater layout with 4 captain seats will only be available in top-of-the-line Z8 trim. The colour options of the Z4 petrol variant are Dazzling Silver, Deep Forest, Everest White, Napoli Black, and Red Rage, while Z8 and Z8 L will also get Grand Canyon and Royal Gold colour options.

Talking about The Diesel engine, it will get 6 trims Z4, Z6, Z8, Z8 4WD, Z8L, and Z8L 4WD. Just like petrol in diesel also the first 4 trims will have only 7 seat configurations but the top models Z8 L and Z8 L 4WD  will have a 6 seater with 4 captain seat configuration. 6 Colour options for the Z4 and Z6 are Dazzling Silver, Deep Forest, Everest White, Napoli Black, and Red Rage, while Z8 4WD, Z8L, and Z8L 4WD have 2 more colours – Grand Canyon and Royal Gold.

The 2.2-litre petrol engine of Scorpio N will produce The 2.2 mStallion puts out 200 HP and 380 Nm while the mHawk diesel engine will deliver 172.5 HP and 400 Nm. The petrol engine of Scorpio N is more powerful than the diesel one. 4WD variants will have a part-time 4×4 system where the power is sent to all 4 wheels only in necessary conditions. Based on the surface traction the Scorpio N system will be able to automatically activate or deactivate the 4×4 system. The Scorpio N will also come with a dedicated differential lock and a transfer case for 4H and 4L modes for drivers to manually shift between the 2 with dedicated buttons.
