Unveiled a the Tokyo Motor Show, the Macan will go on sale in US for a base price of USD 50,895. Deliveries commence in spring next year and the the car will be sold in US in two engine variants- Macan S and Macan Turbo, with the four-cylinder coming in late 2014..

  • The Macan S will be powered by a 3.0 liter V6 twin turbo engine that has a max power of 335PS (340PS). The Porsche Macan S can accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds. The Macan S will also be available with an optional Sport Chrono package, which will bring down the timing to 5.0 seconds.
  • The Macan Turbo, which will have a sticker price of USD 73,295, will be powered by a 3.6 liter V6 twin turbo engine that has a max power of 395hp (400PS). The Porsche Macan Turbo is sufficiently potent to accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96 kmph) in just 4.6 seconds. This can be further brought down by romping in the optional Sport Chrono package.
  • European and Asian markets (such as that of India) will also get a diesel variant that will be powered by a frugal 255hp 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine. This is the engine that is sure to bring in major chunk of sales in car markets like that of ours.
