New VW Jetta: Event pictures, prices and features list

VW launched their new Jetta yesterday. We brought to you the prices, details and trim levels of the new car along with a few pictures. VW, however had not revealed the prices of all the variants yesterday and gave the media the price only for the base level Trendline variant. The prices for all the variants have been released this morning. Here’s the ex-Delhi and Mumbai price list of all the variants

Here are a few excerpts from the Press release discussing the features and specs of the new Jetta

The New Jetta is equipped with 2.0Litre, 4 cylinder CRDi engine with a maximum power output of (140PS) @ 4200rpm and a maximum torque of 320 Nm @1750-2500 rpm with a 6 Speed Gear Box in both manual and automatic transmission (DSG).

Exterior

The new generation Jetta now comes with an entirely new design and is 90 mm longer than its previous generation thereby making it more comfortable for the passengers.

The Exterior is equipped with:

• “Navarra” alloy wheels 205/55 R 16 tyres
• Day time running lights,
• Rear Fog lights
• Side turn signal lights integrated in exterior mirrors
• Dual exhaust pipes

Interior

The designers and engineers have also crafted the interior right down to the last detail. The extended wheelbase of the new Jetta has enabled a rear seating layout that is significantly more comfortable. The very wide and coupe like rear window offers good visibility and simultaneously emphasizes its dynamic lines.

The interior is equipped with:

• Leather package for steering wheel, gear shift knob, hand brake grip
• Front center armrest with storage box
• Storage compartments on headliner
• Rear AC vents for comfort,
• Driver’s seat height adjustments for better drivability,
