One of the highest-selling compact SUVs, Tata Punch has achieved a big leap of milestone. Since its 2021 launch, the Punch has gained huge attention resulting in tremendous sales figures. The sales of Punch resulted in the achievement of a 2 million production milestone.
Tata Motors has rolled out the 2 millionth unit of the Punch SUV from its plant. The increment in production pace has resulted in increased demand for the Tata Forever range of cars.

Monthly Sales of Tata Punch
The Tata Punch initially had sales lower than the average of 10,388 units per month, with sales falling below 10,000 units in the first three months of its launch. Sales decreased further in October 2021 to 8,453 units and then to 6,110 units in November 2021. However, sales picked up in December 2021 with 8,008 units sold.
The company started the year 2022 on a high note with sales steadily increasing to 10,027 units in January 2022. Although there was a dip in February 2022 with 9,529 units sold, every month thereafter had sales above 10,000 units. The highest sales were reported during the festive season of September 2022, when sales reached 12,251 units.

Tata Punch is a sub-4-metre compact SUV from the house of an Indian carmaker. This SUV has achieved a 5-Star safety rating at Global NCAP. And it takes on the likes of Maruti Ignis, Citroen C3, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
Meanwhile, the Tata Punch is available in 4 variants: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. This car is a blend of a hatchback’s manoeuvrability and SUV’s capabilities. Tata has brimmed the Punch with premium features such as Tata’s iRA-connected car technology, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, etc.
The Powertrain Options and Price Range
Currently, the Tata Punch is available with 1 engine and 2 gearbox options. Under the hood is a 1.2L 3-cylinder naturally aspirated Revotron petrol engine making 84bhp and 115nm of output. The Punch is available with the options of a 5-Speed Manual Transmission and an AMT Transmission.
However, Tata is on the verge of launching its CNG version soon. The CNG version will have the same 1.2L petrol engine with 77hp and 95nm of output and a 5-Speed Manual Transmission. Meanwhile, the current version of Punch has a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.82km/l in the manual and 18.97km/l in the AMT version.
Tata has priced the Punch at a range of Rs 5.49-9.93 Lakh Ex-showroom. However, the expected prices of the CNG version of Punch will be dearer by up to 1 Lakh
