HMSI to set up another plant

Rajasthan will get a new Honda plant later this month as the Japanese manufacturer announces its second plant. The plant will be situated in Takapura Industrial Area in Alwar district in Rajasthan. This is an intelligent step from Honda because its component manufacturers are also located in the same area.

The 500 crore plant will have a capacity of 6 lakh units annually in the first phase which will eventually be pumped to 12 lakh units as Honda plans to put another 600 crore in the plant. The plant will be providing jobs to 3000 persons in the first 3 years and the number will be go up to 10,000. It will be inaugrated on May 31st by Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Gehlot.
A government official added that this new plant will open new paths of success for the youth as more component and accessory industries will also come in the near future and the government will come forward to help them.

Honda is doing good in the market and it surely needed a plant. The new models have been doing great thanks to Honda’s reliability factor but isnt that getting a bit too long in tooth. Dont we need more powerful Honda? May Honda listen to us and use its new plant to manufacture something really new.
