Ferrari Amalfi Spider Launched In India At Rs 4.6 Crore

Earlier this year in the month of March, Ferrari took the wraps off the new Amalfi Spider for global buyers. Just four months later, the luxury convertible has reached India with bookings now open. Priced at Rs 4.6 crore (ex showroom) before optional extras, the Amalfi Spider brings open roof driving together with Ferrari’s well known V8 performance. It sits above the Amalfi coupe and asks a premium of Rs 52 lakh for the convertible experience.

Same V8 Engine With Strong Performance

The Amalfi Spider uses the same engine as the coupe. Ferrari has not made any mechanical changes, so buyers get the same level of performance despite the extra weight of the roof mechanism.

Powertrain details

  • 3.9 litre twin turbo V8 petrol engine
  • 640 hp
  • 760 Nm torque
  • 8 speed dual clutch automatic gearbox
  • Rear wheel drive
  • 0 to 100 kmph in 3.3 seconds
  • Top speed of 320 kmph

The Spider weighs around 86 kg more than the coupe, but Ferrari says the performance figures are almost the same.

Fabric Roof Opens In Just 13.5 Seconds

The biggest change is the electrically operated soft roof. It can be opened or closed in 13.5 seconds and even works at speeds of up to 60 kmph.

Ferrari offers multiple roof colour choices for buyers. The five layer fabric is designed to keep the cabin well insulated from heat and outside noise. The company has also added a wind deflector behind the rear seats to reduce air flow inside the cabin during open roof driving.

Boot space stands at 255 litres with the roof closed and 172 litres after the roof is folded.

Cabin Gets Modern Features

The interior follows Ferrari’s dual cockpit design and offers a practical 2+2 seating layout. Buyers also get plenty of technology along with physical controls on the steering wheel.

Key features include

  • 15.6 inch digital driver display
  • 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • 8.8 inch passenger display
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Wireless phone charger
  • Powered sports seats
  • Automatic climate control
  • Connected car technology
  • ADAS
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Aluminium centre tunnel
  • Multiple upholstery and trim customisation options

Ferrari Expands India Presence

Ferrari has started the Amalfi Spider launch with exclusive customer showcases in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru through its official dealer partners. These events allow customers to experience the car, its design and personalisation options before deliveries begin.
