BYD India is the subsidiary of one of the leading EV makers in the automobile sector. The electric carmaker has achieved a significant milestone in contributing to reducing Global Carbon-Dioxide emissions on World Environment Day.
BYD has sold around 4.1 million new energy vehicles in the world. This contributes to reducing global CO2 emissions and saving approximately 33 billion globally and 118 million in India.
Role of BYD in Carbon Neutrality
BYD has been a key player in promoting the adoption of electric vehicles globally, making significant contributions to a sustainable environment. With its electric mobility and advanced technologies, BYD India has played a crucial role in reducing carbon emissions. In a groundbreaking move in 2022, BYD became the world’s first manufacturer to completely stop production of IC Engine vehicles.
Additionally, the company constructed one of the world’s first zero-carbon headquarters for an automobile brand. This results in setting new standards for the global transportation industry and inspiring other manufacturers to adopt low-carbon transformation.
BYD Line-up in India
BYD E6 is a versatile electric crossover SUV that offers a combination of spaciousness, comfort, and sustainability. With its stylish and aerodynamic design, the E6 stands out on the road. It is powered by an electric motor and a 71.7kWh large-capacity battery pack. This results in an output of 94hp and 180nm along with a top speed of 130km/h and 415km of range.
Meanwhile, the BYD ATTO3 is a compact electric car designed for urban mobility. It offers a sleek and modern design, making it an ideal choice for navigating through congested city streets. With its compact size, the ATTO3 is agile and easy to manoeuvre, perfect for tight parking spaces. BYD has brimmed this vehicle with features like ADAS Level 2 including adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. This vehicle has a 60.48kWh battery pack and powerful motor producing 201hp and 310nm and 521 km of driving range.
