Breaking: Yamaha M1 50th Anniversary celebration livery

Yamaha is celebrating its 50th anniversary of grand prix racing. As a part of the celebrations, the bikemaker has gone back to its historic red and white livery for the upcoming Assen TT and the US GP. For these two rounds, Yamaha’s lead racers Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies will have their machines painted in a modern iteration of the historic Yamaha colours. The team crew and the rest of the staff will also adorn the new colours to be a part of the celebrations.

Apart from the new livery, the company is also celebrating the 50 years of racing with a logo on the top of the YZF-M1’s fuel tank, right ahead of the fuel filler cap.

To us, this is one of the coolest race liveries we have ever seen. What do you think? Check out more pictures in the gallery
