BMW India has launched the latest version of the 2023 X5 in the market. The price range of the new X5 facelift starts from Rs. 93.90 Lakhs Ex-showroom and bookings are open. However, the new X5 facelift is available in multiple variants for the petrol and diesel versions.

The Exterior of the BMW X5 facelift
On the exterior, the German carmaker has tweaked the design profile of the X5 facelift. Upfront, the new X5 facelift gets the new bumper with redesigned vertical intakes and redesigned headlights with L-shaped LED DRLs. The carmaker is also offering the striking new i7-inspired glow kidney grille in the X5 facelift. Meanwhile, the central air dam at the bumper is now wider in presence which enhances the airflow and dynamics.
The new X5 facelift sits on the redesigned 21-inch alloy wheels. Apart from this, the overall design of the side profile is similar to the pre-facelift version. At the rear, the carmaker has not significantly revised the design of the X5 facelift. However, the new X5 facelift gets a new X-pattern in the LED taillights and thicker skid plates in the bumper.

Interior and features of the BMW X5 facelift
Like the exterior, the new X5 facelift gets minor tweaks on the design of the interior. The main highlight of the X5 facelift is the new 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest idrive 8.0 UI. This infotainment system is a part of the brand’s latest twin-screen display set-up seen on the newer BMW models. The twin-screen display has brought a new design layout to the dashboard.
The new dashboard layout in the X5 facelift has minimized the physical controls which makes it upmarket. Meanwhile, the gear knob for drive select is replaced by the toggle glass-like switch. The X-Line variant gets the standard sport seats without the ventilation facilities. However, the range-topping M-Sport variant gets the better comfortable seats with ventilation features. The features list includes the following:
- 4-zone climate control
- Harman Kardon sound system
- Panoramic sunroof
- 14.9-inch Advanced touchscreen infotainment system
- 12.3- inch Advanced instrument cluster
- The latest BMW idrive 8.0 UI Operating System
Meanwhile, the M-Sport variant features M-Spec alloys, exhaust tips, a leather steering wheel, aluminum pedals, door entry sills, etc.
Powertrain Options
BMW X5 facelift is powered by 2 engine options depending on the variant. Moreover, the x5 facelift comes with a mild-hybrid system with a 48V battery pack for petrol and diesel engines. The 40i variant is powered by the 3.0L 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine mated to the hybrid system. This engine produces 381hp of power and 520nm of torque in the rev band of 1,850 – 5,000 rpm.
However, the 30d variant is powered by the 3.0L 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine mated to the hybrid system. This engine produces 286hp of power and 650nm of torque output in the rev band of 1,500 – 2,500 rpm.
Meanwhile, the power is channeled via the 8-Speed Steptronic Automatic Transmission and Xdrive AWD system. Moreover, the electric motor is mounted to the transmission providing an additional boost of 12hp and 200nm. Unfortunately, the BMW X5 facelift is not available with the powerful 4.4L twin-turbo v8 hybrid engine.
