Land Rover today announced that its luxury SUV, the 2016 Range Rover Evoque will be launched in India in November 2015 and that Land Rover retailers are now formally accepting bookings of the 2016 Range Rover Evoque.
For 2016, Range Rover Evoque’s exterior design has been further enhanced with a selection updates, which include full-LED adaptive headlamps, a newly designed front bumper, two new grille designs, and three all-new alloy wheel designs. Interior changes include new seats and door casings, a new infotainment system, accessed via an eight-inch touch-screen, and the introduction of new colour and materials such as Lunar Ice, Vintage Tan and Dark Cherry (Autobiography only).
The 2016 Evoque also bought Land Rover’s new all-aluminium Ingenium TD4 engine to the table, which is now shared with the new Discovery Sport and the new Jaguar XE. 20-30 Kg lighter than its predecessor, the new, 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder Ingenium TD4 engine is available in two power outputs: 150PS and a more potent 180PS unit. The 2016 Evoque is also offered with Land Rover’s 240PS Si4 petrol engine that is capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in 7.6 seconds and achieving a top speed of 217km/h.
Features on offer are a 825W Meridian surround sound system with 17 speakers (HSE Dynamic Lux), a fixed panoramic roof with a powered blind, key-less entry, a hands free, electric tailgate, cruise control, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, leather swathed interiors, 12-way driver / 12-way passenger powered seats with lumbar support and memory, along with 575 litres of boot space (5-door model with the rear seats up).
Other than the array of standard safety net, the 2016 model year Evoque also receives Lane-Keeping Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Dynamic Stability Control and Attention Assist Estimation. Also on the offing are Park Assist featuring Parallel Park, Parking Exit and Perpendicular Park, a Surround Camera System with Towing Assist, along with Blind Spot Monitor with Closing Vehicle Sensing and Reverse Traffic Detection.
