KTM has constantly been receiving feedback from its customers and has been working towards delivering better quality products to its audience. And the 2015 KTM Duke 390 is the perfect example of the aforementioned statement. For 2015, KTM has loaded the Duke 390 with technological advance, biggest of which is the introduction of a slipper clutch for easy operations. A slipper clutch is developed to mitigate the effects of engine braking when riders decelerate/aggressively downshift gears.

Front and rear suspension receive plastic cladding for protection from dirt

The LED turn indicators and tail light now receive a blackened at borders to make them look more meaner . The front upside down suspension also receives extra protection in the form of plastic cladding to thwart mud and muck flying off the tyres. The rear mono suspension receives a plastic cover inside the white shock absorbing spring while a small piece of plastic protector hangs from the motorcycle for protection from dirt flying off the rear wheel. Moving further, the handle grips, similar to the ones found on the KTM’s RC series, are now updated for better comfort to the rider.

The KTM Duke 390/200 both receive handlebar grips similar to RC series of motorcycles.

But wait, there is more! The service interval on the new 2015 models have been extended to 7,500 kilometers from the previous 5,000 kilometers. This would let owners cover more kilometers between periodic maintenance. All these changes are applicable on new 2015 models but despite these additions, KTM has still not increased the price of the Duke 390. However, KTM East Mumbai indicated that the prices may rise in a matter of few weeks.

  2. In which city were you able to get hold of Duke 390 with the slipper clutch? I am unable to get confirmation on any such development from dealers in Delhi.
