Royal Enfield ‘Art of Motorcycling’ Goes Global

Royal Enfield’s popular design initiative, Art of Motorcycling, returns for its fourth season with a global twist. For the first time, the competition is reaching creative enthusiasts beyond India, with participation open to artists from Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico.

Themed around the futuristic vision of the year 3000 A.D., Season 4, dubbed the Y3K edition, challenges participants to reimagine motorcycling in a world where humanity’s relationship with technology and freedom continues to evolve. Artists are invited to explore new galactic landscapes and untold adventures, expressing their passion for two-wheeled travel in a world far beyond the present.

Categories and Global Judges

This year’s Art of Motorcycling introduces four creative categories for participants: Gen AI, Digital Art, Handcrafted Art, and Comic Art. The latter category is a new addition, celebrating the intersection of storytelling and motorcycling through comics and sequential art.

The competition will be judged by a global panel of experts, alongside regional juries. The international judges include renowned experiential designer Aaquib Wani, celebrated for his work with Lollapalooza, the India Cricket Team, and Spotify Rap91; animation filmmaker Debjyoti Saha, founder of Goppo Animation; Japanese manga artist Haruka Santoka; and Varun Gupta, an artist known for merging Gen AI and visual art in his storytelling.

The regional panels will feature notable creative talents from participating countries, including Mao Gronewold, a creative director from Mexico, and Takrit Krutphum, an established artist from Thailand.

Rewards and Community Engagement

Participants’ designs will be evaluated through social polls, giving the global community an opportunity to vote for their favorite creations. The top eight designs from across the regions will be awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to Motoverse, Royal Enfield’s annual community event. Their winning designs will also be featured on exclusive Art of Motorcycling apparel.

Additionally, one winner from the Comic Art category will receive the chance to collaborate with Royal Enfield on special projects. All winners will be featured on the Royal Enfield Ride Pure Podcast, providing them a platform to share their stories and creative journeys with a wider audience.
