Maruti Suzuki to Launch New Swift and Dzire After Invicto?

Maruti Suzuki is one of the leading players in the Indian market. Recently, the carmaker has commenced the bookings of its flagship MPV, the Invicto. And it has been slated for debut on 5th July 2023. However, some cars are due for a comprehensive update. Let’s have a glimpse at the upcoming new generation of Maruti cars:

1. Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the top-selling hatchbacks in the Indian market. The car is running on its 3rd generation, introduced back in 2018. The facelift was launched in 2021 with some cosmetic tweaks and a new engine. It had been quite a while since Hatchback received a major update. Now, the carmaker is working on a new generation of the Hatchback, and it is likely to be based on the same platform.

The car’s test mule has been spied quite a lot of times in Japan. We can expect a major cosmetic overhaul and the addition of new features. While the mechanicals are likely to remain the same. However, it is expected to receive a new 1.2L hybrid petrol engine derived from the 1.5L strong hybrid petrol of the Grand Vitara. It is expected that the carmaker will unveil the new generation Swift by 2024.

2. Maruti Suzuki Dzire

Maruti Suzuki Dzire is one of the most beloved sedans in the Indian market. This car is also running on its 3rd generation, introduced in 2017. It is expected that the new Dzire will go for a major cosmetic revamp, and some elements will resemble its hatchback sibling. The new Dzire will also be based on the same platform, which also shares its underpinnings with other models.

We can expect a major cosmetic overhaul and the addition of new features. While the mechanicals are likely to remain the same. However, it is expected to receive a new 1.2L hybrid petrol engine derived from the 1.5L strong hybrid petrol of the Grand Vitara. It is expected that the carmaker will launch the new generation of Dzire by 2024.
