Could This Be The Upcoming 5-Door Gurkha?

Republik Motor, an Indonesian company, debuted the Ksatria SUV and a distinctive double-cab pickup truck. These new cars are based on the Gurkha 5-door from Force Motors.

. It’s surprising to see a pickup truck on the same chassis even if the Ksatria SUV is simply a five-door version of the Gurkha. The Indo Defence Expo and Forum featured the two SUVs. According to reports, customers will eventually be able to purchase them after being originally offered to government organizations. The Ksatria SUV and pickup truck will be made locally in Indonesia, while the two SUVs will be built under license from Force Motors. The showcase cars appear to have been made in India.

Design

The Ksatria resembles Gurkha SUVs in terms of appearance. Both vehicles have identical grilles, front bumpers, and LED headlights up front. The bull guard, together with the headlight and indicator guards, seem to be the only distinguishing features at the front. The Ksatria SUVs have several alloy wheels styles on the sides. The largest distinction between the Ksatira SUV and the Gurkha is found at the rear. The SUVs built to Indonesian specifications have grilles, spare wheel covers, and LED taillights.

Interior

The Ksatria and its Indian cousin are different inside. Unlike the Gurkha, which only receives a black interior, it has a dual-tone inside with beige and black colours. The Ksatria has more luxurious seats in comparison to the Gurkha, among other differences. Captain’s chairs are depicted in the second row and a bench in the third in the 6-seat configuration for the 5-door model. The AC vents include a module that is positioned on the ceiling as well.

Engine

The Ksatria’s engine is the same one that Republik Motor uses in the Gurkha. Mercedes-Benz supplied the 2.6-liter OM616 diesel engine, which has 91 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. There aren’t many specifics available about the Ksatria’s powertrain, but given that it is a rebadged Gurkha, a 5-speed manual gearbox, low-range four-wheel drive, and manually locked front and rear differentials should be available.

The Force Gurkha 5-door has never been publicly displayed before, but with a different name in a different nation. The vehicle is currently being prepared for an India premiere. It will be fascinating to watch if the pick-up truck makes it to India given that it is based on the same platform. If so, it might develop into a practical substitute for luxury SUVs like the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.
