Nissan Motor India reported total wholesales of 10,011 units for the month of October 2022, including 3061 national wholesales and 6950 export wholesales. In comparison to the same period last year, the cumulative wholesale growth for the year to date was 22%.

Preference of customers was for SUVs specially amongst the first time and replacement buyers. We are confident that demand will continue to rise with an improvement in economic growth, customer sentiment and with improvement in supply.”

In October, Nissan presented to the public its plans to expand its lineup in India to include the Nissan X-Trail, Qashqai, and Juke. Nissan has also begun conducting feasibility studies near its Chennai manufacturing base. Once the tests are through, the X-Trail will be the first model to be released on the Indian market.
