Since day one we have been following the New Verna story and its interesting to know that the dates for the car to be launched on the Indian roads has come near. One of the Hyundai showroom in Mumbai on the suburbs side has assured us that the car is due May, and advised us not to hurry and settle for the Verna transform.
Even though no Hyundai official has made any kind of statement related to its release, but the presence of the car in the Chennai factory and the on-going testing’s is a strong enough reason we believe the day for launch is as near as May.
We expect the new Verna to be powered by the 1.4 CVVT which gives out around 107hp with 136 Nm torque or the 1.6 CVVT with 122hp with 155Nm torque and finally the 1.6 Crdi which gives a massive power of 127hp with a torque of 250 Nm. These engines are available in the international version of the Verna. Hyundai can either give the buyer newer engine options or continue with the existing one which are the 1.6 petrol giving 102hp and the 1.5 Crdi giving 108hp.

Looking at the uplifted model and its “fluidic design” we can speculate that this version of the Verna will talk for Hyundai the same way the i20 did. What do you guys think?
