Facing increased competition from feature loaded cars in the segment like the Tata Zest, new variants of the Honda Amaze and the fairly popular Hyundai Xcent, Maruti has finally launched the facelifted Dzire. The new car distinguishes itself from the outgoing Dzire with the help of cosmetic changes on the outside and additional features in the cabin. The 2015 Maruti Dzire now comes with a large chrome slat that sits on the grille, a new bumper with chrome inserts that mimic DRL’s, and black inserts in the headlamp. Alloy wheels follow a new design pattern and are wrapped in 15″ rubber, while at the rear, the car looks more or less the same and gets a slightly different looking bumper.
Inside the cabin, the 2015 Maruti Dzire gets a Start /Stop switch, keyless entry, an automated climate control system, reverse parking sensors, an audio system that supports bluetooth, 60:40 split rear seats, a better looking Multi-information display and electrically folding outside rear view mirrors. Mechanically, the compact sedan will continue to be powered by the 1.2-liter, K-series petrol engine that pumps out 87 ps @ 6200 rpm and 114 Nm of torque @ 4000 rpm. The diesel variant will be propelled by the trusted 1.3-liter diesel engine that develops 75 Ps @ 4000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque @ 2000 rpm. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The facelifted car has been priced between Rs 5.07 – Rs 7.81 lakh, Ex-showroom, Delhi.
