The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS has been spotted again while undergoing cold weather testing in Ooty. The upcoming bike would be  could be launched in coming few weeks.
This is the first time when the bike was spotted testing outside of Maharashtra. The bikes which were spotted include two test mules of Pulsar 200 SS and also two 200 NS.
It may be noted that the P200NS is powered by a four valve, four stroke, single pot 200cc motor that has a peak power-torque of 23.5 PS-1.86 kgm. The engine comes mated to a six speed gearbox. For the 200SS though, we expect that the engine has been tuned for at least 24PS of max power. The motor could dump the carb. in favor of a FI unit.
Worth a mention is the fact that while the Pulsar 200NS boasts of segment leading power and torque figures, the fact that its immediate rivals (read: Hero ZMR, Yamaha R15, Honda CBR150R)sport a full fairing has made life a tad tough for the flagship Pulsar. I believe that as per the perception of many, a faired bike needs to be sharper and faster.
It is being expected that the Bajaj Pulsar 200SS, which will be a Yamaha R15 V2.0 adversary, would be only slightly pricier than the naked sibling and could have an on-road of approx INR 1.10 lakhs.
We also believe that the faired 200NS should be the perfect successor to the fast aging Pulsar 220 DTSi and we are looking forward to the launch of the all new Pulsar.
