Lexus LF SA Subcompact Concept

The Lexus LF-SA Subcompact Concept is a pocketful of funk

Lexus’ new design philosophy is slowly warming up to me. I loved it best it on the RC-F, and now this new LF-SA Subcompact Concept takes things to a different level. This is also the first Lexus where the front end styling looks cohesive to the rest of the car’s style – lately it’s like been like the front end has been styled in 2030, while the rest of the car still has late-90’s pretensions.

It’s a three-door, sub compact-sized city car, and probably the best looking iteration of it yet. The pinched, trademark Spindle grille has patterns that zero in on the Lexus logo, while the LED signature has evolved too. The body is unlike any other subcompact out there, with svelte curves, intelligent chrome trimming and a coupe like profile.

Lexus says that the concept reflects its “passion for new design trends and explores unexpected territories for the brand” adding that it was “conceived as a luxurious, driver-focused vehicle, designed to address a future world that is more influenced by technology and virtual experiences”.
