Tata Motors has started testing a new variant of the popular Ace family of LCVs, called the Ace Dicor Mega. As you can see in the images, this newer version wears flashy black and yellow stickers on both the doors. Now, to further help differentiate the Ace Dicor Mega, from its other stablemates, Tata Motors has added some extra tinge to this LCV by giving it a plastic wheel arch and runs on bigger 14-inch wheels, as compared to the 13-inch ones on the regular Ace. This new model will find itself placed between the standard Ace and the more mighty, Super Ace.

The Super Ace is primarily for users who use highways more often.

The Tata Ace Dicor Mega has been designed with heavy urban use in mind. This means that this new LCV, as the part of the name suggests, gets a Dicor engine by Tata. This is a petite 798cc turbocharged engine with an intercooler (TCIC, in Tata parlance). The motor churns out around 40 horses and 94 Nm of torque. And according to reports, this torque figure might see an increment, as the Tata Ace Dicor Mega is to handle loads of up to 1 tonne, which is more than the regular Ace. Therefore, this LCV will be seen equipped with the more heavy-duty rear axle from its elder sibling, the Super Ace.
