Ford India today launched the new EcoSport, with prices starting from INR 679,563* (ex-showroom Delhi). Variant wide prices are as follows:

The new EcoSport comes with Ford’s 1.5L TDCi diesel engine with an improved peak power of 100 PS (73.8 kW) that delivers a mileage of 22.27 Km/L. The more powerful diesel motor will be strapped to a five-speed manual transmission.
The new EcoSport also introduces an all-new Trend+ variant for the petrol fuelled EcoBoost version. The Trend+ will be offered with a choice of 1.5L TDCi diesel engine as well. For more variant specific details and an exhaustive feature list, visit here.
Recipient of four consecutive International Engine of the Year awards, the familiar, 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine is still around, and produces 125 PS of power while delivering a class-leading fuel economy of 18.88 Km/L, as well as emitting 15% less CO2.
The new EcoSport also continues with Ford’s 1.5L TiVCT petrol engine that delivers 112 PS of power and fuel efficiency of 15.85 Km/L. This petrol engine will be paired to both the five-speed manual transmission as well as Ford’s six-speed dual clutch PowerShift automatic transmission.
Visual changes are negligible, apart from signature light guides in the headlamps, which will now also feature daytime running lights/fog lamps. The interiors benefit from chrome treatment on inner door handles, cluster ring and cluster appliqué, window regulator switches and air register tabs, while the steering wheel and handbrake lever are now trimmed in leather.
Other new features include rain sensing wipers and automatic headlamps. The new EcoSport also introduces an electro-chromic mirror that automatically deflects a beam of light from trailing vehicles to minimise obstruction to drivers. The EcoSport will continue to provide SYNC with AppLink, Ford’s in-car connectivity system that allows drivers to control their phone, entertainment and apps hands-free using simple voice commands.
In line with the festive colours, the new EcoSport introduces a new colour – Golden Bronze and is now available in 8 colours including Mars Red, Diamond White, Panther Black, Kinetic Blue, Moondust Silver, Chill Metallic and Smoke Grey. On the safety front, Ford India will offer ABS and EBD as standard across all variants of the new Ecosport, save for the base variant.
